Equipment

Kajukenbo

Martial Art shoes and Black Gi pants are the requirements.  Otomix Signature pants are the best, they are the cheapest and they last .  A black T-Shirt will do until you can get a school shirt, .

Boxing

We use Everlast 14oz Velcro Training Gloves, and Classic Everlast Headgear.  A mouthguard is required, they help protect your teeth and help prevent concussions. Here is a picture of a student’s teeth who didn’t believe in using a mouthpeice, and someones head after boxing without headgear.   We recomend and use the Everlast gear because is protects the best and lasts the longest.  You can spend less money on headgear and gloves but you and your body will pay the price.

Kicking

The basic Kajukenbo gear is a must along with a mouthpiece.  You can also get kickboxing shinpads, these will help to save the legs of the person you’re doing kicks with, and save your shins from destructions.  Other optional gear include Thai Pads.

Stick and Knife

The basic Kajukenbo gear is a must along with a mouthpeice..  Wristguards for knife fighting are recommended, along with hand guards.  If you are interested in Stick Fighting we use 30 inch Rattan wood sticks.  The stronger the wood the better, the stick will break and get destroyed, the stronger the stick, the longer they’ll last.

Trapping

The basic Kajukenbo gear is a must along with a mouthpeice.  We have Fist protective headgear for the students to use, along with trapping helmets.  You can get trapping gloves if you don’t want to use any that are at the school.

Grappling

The basic Kajukenbo gear is a must along with a mouthpeice.  Earguards are optional, Asic makes some really good 5 strap earguards.
